Product Description
ASTM A325 structural bolts are heavy-duty hex bolts designed exclusively for large-scale structures, such as buildings and bridges. These bolts are engineered to withstand the loads of steel-to-steel structural connections. They feature a flat bearing surface with a washer face and a chamfered point. The galvanized coating protects the bolts from corrosion, making them ideal for outdoor applications. ASTM F3125 A325 bolts are available in multiple types, including Type 1, Type 2, Type 3, Type T, and Type M. Among these, Type 2 has been discontinued and phased out, while other types remain in use with distinct performance characteristics. Each bolt also comes in different connection configurations. A325 Type 3 bolts are manufactured from weathering steel. These corrosion-resistant steel bolts do not require a coating, as their surface naturally oxidizes to form a patina that provides anti-corrosion protection. ASTM A325 Type 1 bolts are made from medium carbon steel, carbon-boron steel, or medium carbon alloy steel. These bolts offer high toughness and can be used with various coatings to enhance corrosion resistance.
